WEST SENECA, NY (WKBW-TV) — George, Jerry and Kramer are three roosters up for adoption at the SPCA in West Seneca.
Farm manager Sheila Foss says she has to keep them separated in different stalls because "If you get too many males in too tight quarters they can spar with one another."
The roosters came in together recently and Sheila is hoping to find them good homes. She says that roosters have good qualities including "They are excellent protection of the flock. They can make sure that there are no predators around."
January has been a big month for chicken adoptions at the SPCA. Sheila says that seven chickens came into the facility this month and so far six have been adopted.
For more information about the roosters or other questions you can email the Farm Staff at farm@yourspca.org and speak with Sheila or Patti in the Educational Farm.
