BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Sabres celebrated the start of the season and the team's return from Europe with a celebration for the home opener.
There was a Party in the Plaza in Alumni Plaza ahead of the game and when players got to the KeyBank Center they walked down a blue and yellow carpet that was lined with fans who waited to meet them, and get autographs.
There was also music, activities, and a commemorative giveaway for fans attending the game.
I was there speaking to fans and captured the sights and sounds of home opener excitement.
As for the game, the Sabres lost to the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 and are now 0-3 after losing two games to the New Jersey Devils in Prague to start the year.
