BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — We've all heard of a flash mob, but how about a trash mob.
Westside Trash Mob is a grassroots effort that began in response to all the recent protests calling for social justice here in Western New York.
Volunteers decided to clean up all the garbage on their own, and now the effort has expanded with trash pickup taking place on the last Sunday of the month.
Sunday's trash mob took place in the Allentown neighborhood.
Dozens of volunteers ended up collecting just over 50-full bags of trash.
