BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Hamburg doctor has pleaded guilty to illegally importing heroin and cocaine.

55-year-old Torin Finver faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine for importation of a controlled substance.

In November 2018, Customs and Border Protection officers tested a parcel at the Chicago, Illinois office addressed to "T Finver," with a Hamburg, New York address. The parcel was sent from Germany with fake sender information. It eventually was tested for cocaine and the results came back positive.

After a number of other packages were inspected, Finver was eventually busted in December 2018 by an undercover agent who delivered a parcel to Finver at his Hamburg residence.

Finver admitted to ordering heroin and cocaine from the Dream Market marketplace. He used Bitcoin to pay for the drugs.

Sentencing will take place in May.
