Hamburg man accused in death threat of I-Team reporter indicted

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Hamburg man accused of making a death threat against our own 7 Eyewitness News I-Team reporter Charlie Specht has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Paul Lubienecki has been charged with stalking.

Lubienecki is accused of leaving a threatening voice message stating he was going to "kill" Specht following the coverage of the closure of Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora and the priest abuse scandal in the Diocese of Buffalo.

He was arrested back in Feburary.

If convicted, Lubienecki faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
