But that development, a very small part of the plan the company has for Western New York.
Former Buffalo Police HQ
Douglas Development purchased the former Buffalo Police Headquarters at 74 Franklin Street in February for just over $3 million. According to the development company, construction will “begin soon” on the project that looks to transform former police barracks into more than 170 state of the art apartments. That project is just a few blocks from Seneca One. The hope is to open the project by 2020.
Boulevard Mall
The Boulevard Mall was purchased by Douglas Development in mid-July for approximately $30 million. According to Douglas Jemal of Douglas Development, the plan is to transform the Boulevard Mall into what they are calling “Boulevard Place”. It will have commercial and residential aspects to it in what they are calling a rebirth. Months of planning still await until we get a first look at the new Boulevard Place.
