WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WKBW) — A home healthcare aide is accused of stealing the identity of an elderly woman she was hired to care for.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Tamara Doggett is charged with Grand Larceny and Identity Theft. Investigators say Doggett stole the identity of a 77-year-old Wheatfield woman in order to open a fraudulent credit card. Deputies say the Buffalo woman was working at the victim's home at the time.
