NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Samantha Klein has been watching her back for weeks.

"Threatening my life, threatening my family" Klein said.

Klein has been living in hotels for the past three weeks after three month old A'laya Foster died while she was babysitting her. She says she has been called a baby killer and is scared those threats will lead to action.

"I'm innocent, I did nothing to that baby."

The death of A'laya is being treated by the Niagara Falls Police Department as a homicide. The family of Foster believes that Klein is responsible. According to Klein, she says the baby had a bruise on her face when she was dropped off. On the second night Klein was babysitting, disaster.

"I kissed her on the forehead and she was just cold," Klein said, "So I started screaming and I had my friend call 911 and I started panicking. I didn't know what to do."

Klein, a certified daycare employee, was fired because of the incident. She was questioned by police before being released.

Domonique Hilson, the mother of A'laya, believes that someone needs to be held accountable for her daughters death.

"Tell me what happened to my baby," Hilson said to 7EWN last week, "Ya'll keep saying you don't have answers, you got to have answers."

Klein is hoping the legal system can prove her innocence and that the threats will come to an end.
