BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Commissioners of the International Joint Commission are taking extra steps to address the flooding occurring on Lake Ontario.
According to a statement, the IJC’s International Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River Board has increased the outflow to a “historic maximum rate.” The current outflow is above the flow specified by Plan 2014.
IJC Commissioners are planning to hold a meeting to consider further flood relief measures and discuss Plan 2014.
