TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Students at Edison Elementary School have 14,000 reasons to smile.
The young students raised more than $14,000 to build a water well in Burkina Faso in Africa.
Second graders at the Ken-Ton school were inspired after reading the book, The Water Princess.
Each grade then set out to contribute $2,000 to the school's goal by hosting a wide range of events and smashing Edison's original goal of $10,000 ... Congratulations!
