BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A’isha McDuffie is just 6-years-old, in first grade, and already running her own business.
Kiddie Cosmetics began just a year ago after her mother, who has 3 other children, was looking for ways to be a little bit more economical at home.
“Her bows were getting kind of expensive…same with the bath bombs…and as the mother I’m always looking for ways to save money, keep money within our home and now always dish it out,” said Yaz’min Eberhardt.
To YouTube they went.
Learning how to make bows, bow-ties, sugar scrubs, massage bars, and bath bombs.
“It was really fun, so we decided to make a business out of it,” said A’isha.
And that business has grown over the course of a year.
After just selling to family and friends, with the help of a few vendor events and an instagram page, the young business-owner is now selling to the public.
She even landed a contract with the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center to sell her bath-bombs, bowties, and hair bows out of their museum shop this spring season.
