BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Office and New York State police were looking to identify a suspect in connection with Christmas Eve burglaries Tuesday morning.
Officials say the pair of commercial burglaries occurred in the North Collins and Gowanda areas on Christmas Eve.
In an updated statement Tuesday afternoon, officials said they were no longer seeking information:
"The Erie County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police are no longer seek information about the suspect's identity involved in the North Collins and Gowanda burglaries. Both agencies want to thank the public and the media for the massive response to the assistance request; you were remarkable! More information will be released at a later date."
