LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Lewiston Police Department is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that occurred just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday on Lewiston Road near Fort Gray Drive.
Police said witnesses said they observed the motorcyclist make contact with a semi-truck on Lewiston Road north of Mountain View Drive. The motorcyclist was then reportedly dragged by the semi-truck.
According to police, the motorcyclist was located at Fort Gray Drive and the motorcycle was located on the ramp to the Upper Mountain Road overpass.
The motorcyclist, who police said is not from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity will not be released until the family has been notified.
Police say the driver of the semi-truck is cooperating with the investigation.
A portion of Lewiston Road was closed for several hours while police investigated the accident.
