LEWISTON — The Lewiston Police Department announced Thursday night on Facebook that it is taking a zero tolerance stance to juvenile crime.
According to police, children will be issued appearance tickets to family court for any crime committed. Parents will also be issued an appearance ticket for town court for curfew violations.
This is in response to an increase in juvenile crime and disturbances throughout the city.
