BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Niagara Falls man on parole for manslaughter has been sentenced to 75 months in prison for possessing child pornography.

Randy Colucci, 36, was sentenced in federal court in Buffalo on Friday morning. Colucci was arrested back in 2017 following an undercover investigation by a Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent.

According to federal prosecutors, the undercover investigator discovered files containing child pornography being shared on a peer-to-peer website, where users can share files with each other, in April 2017. Investigators traced the IP address connected to the files to Colucci.

Law enforcement searched Colucci's home in June 2017 and recovered child pornography that included children under 10 years old, and images of "children involved in violent sexual assaults."

Colucci was arrested for possessing child pornography while on parole in New York State for another felony conviction. In 2011, Colucci was convicted of manslaughter following the death of his two-year-old daughter.
