A judge sentenced 50-year-old John Jaycox from 20 years to life behind bars.
In November, a jury found Jaycox guilty on one count of attempted murder, one count of attempted assault, one count of attempted robbery, one count of assault and one count of attempted sexual abuse. He was sentenced as a second violent felony offender.
The judge prohibited Jaycox from contacting the victim by issuing an order of protection.
