NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — The United States Marshals Service and the Rochester Police Department say a suspect wanted in connection with a Rochester murder was shot and taken into custody in Niagara Falls Friday night.
According to officials, around 9 p.m. Friday the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force observed a suspect wanted in connection with a Rochester murder on the porch of a residence on the 1700 block of Falls Street.
As officers approached the residence, the suspect ran inside and a chase ensued.
During a struggle the suspect allegedly brandished a knife and bit an officer, the suspect was shot and is currently stable at ECMC according to officials.
No further information was released, police continue to investigate.
