BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 47-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to stealing $53,570 from a Depew medical supply company.

Prosecutors say Kendyce Rupe stole cash and altered checks that she then deposited into her own bank account. Rupe filed falsified bank deposit tickets for customer checks to avoid getting caught by her employer, Respiratory Services of Western New York.

Rupe is a former manager at the medical supply company.

The Buffalo woman pleaded guilty to one count of Grand Larceny and one count of Falsifying Business Records. She faces up to seven years in prison. Rupe will be sentenced in January.
