NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Say hello to Beethoven. The 2-year-old deaf, American bull-dog mix currently calls the Niagara County SPCA home, but he's hoping a hero will welcome him into a forever home.

According to a release issued on Wednesday, Beethoven has been returned twice to the shelter, through no fault of his own,

“Beethoven is an amazing dog who would make a great companion if given the chance. That’s why we are looking for an experienced adopter who will give him the time and attention that he needs to live the best life possible,” said Diane Durphy, behavior specialist at Niagara County SPCA.

According to the shelter, Beethoven knows sign language for sit, paw, and touch.

He must be the only animal in the household and no small animals or cats. Children must be age 13 and up. To inquire about adopting Beethoven, call Niagara County SPCA at 716-731-4368 ext. 301.
