ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — From winter, spring, summer to fall. The sun at Sunrise Medical Center is always on the rise. That's all thanks to the talents of local artist Tim Martin. A mural depicting a sunrise during all four seasons is at the corner of Southwestern Blvd and California Rd in Orchard Park.

"She asked me if I could paint a mural for her and I said 'Sure, where would you like it?' She brought me out here in the back and said this wall," said Martin.

"One of my patients came here and said to me, 'You know your building looks so industrial.' Well right away I was like that's not going to happen to me!" said Dr. Amy Burke, the owner of Sunrise Medical Center.

Dr. Burke goal is to have her patients feel like they're not at a doctor's office.

"They think it's amazing. The inside is sort of like a spa. Very nice, comfortable. This kind of goes with it. I have a lot of plants, so it really goes with the things inside, just you know, relaxation," said Dr. Burke.

Dr. Burke thought, why not include the two things her patients love the most?

"She wanted her pets and her daughter on the mural too, so they're involved," Dr. Burke said.

So in came office celebrities Luke and Jake.

"The two dogs we put on there... I would have loved to put all the dogs on there. These two come to the office. So they're a part of us," said Dr. Burke.

Seeing the little details like the pups come to fruition is one of Martin's favorite parts about being a muralist.

"I can't wait to see it finished because every time I post it. It's like holy cow... I can't believe it's this big! It's like wow I did this!" said Martin.

The mural should be completed by Friday.
