BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — We have heard and seen it many times... when a storm hits neighbors are out shoveling themselves out but also their fellow neighbors.
"The city of good neighbors, people helping people," Leory Kimbrough said.
Many Western New Yorkers are braving the cold and snow to pay it forward.
"We take turns kinda cleaning up our sidewalks," Don Siuta was snow blowing away in the Elmwood Village. "Steve does mine, I do his, and we kinda just work together and make it easier for us all."
Neighbors on Anderson Place in Buffalo say they try to beat each other out to be the first one to plow out the sidewalks. There is one neighbor dressed in all black that enjoys clearing the snow more than most.
Jess Hayes uses his four-wheeler to help his neighbors clear our their driveways.
"It's a blast it's really fun... it makes plowing a great time," Hayes said. "To get out of the house it's a good time."
