CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Trucks nearing Young Street in the City of Tonawanda are having to turn around when it comes to going underneath the Young Street Bridge after the mayor put in place an executive order banning trucks earlier this month.
Monday evening, neighbors voiced their concerns at a meeting with city officials about the future of the bridge and what else could be done to fix the problem.
Listening to concerned community members--city officials agreed to explore adding flashing signage and change city code to make Young Street a non-truck route.
