BUFFALO, .N.Y (WKBW) — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center unveiled a new "Victory Bell" for pediatric and young adult cancer patients Tuesday.
The special ceremony was held marking Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Patients have been ringing the "Victory Bell" to celebrate treatment milestones and personal victories since 2015.
The original bell is higher up, which meant some pediatric and young adult patients needed help to ring the bell.
This new bell allows those patients the ability to ring the bell on their own.
