LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State Senator Robert Ortt (R - 62nd District) announced Saturday he will run for Congress in New York's 27th Congressional District.

Ortt joins New York State Senator Chris Jacobs (R - 60th District) and Grand Island Town Supervisor Democrat Nate McMurray and attorney and former judge Beth Parlatoas those who have officially announced their candidacy for NY-27.
Incumbent Rep. Chris Collins (R-Clarence) has yet to announce whether he will run again. Collins faces insider trading charges dating back to August 2018, it was announced just last week that federal prosecutors have "narrowed the scope" of charges against the congressman and his son.
