CAMBRIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a corrections officer has been suspended after he was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated.

Officials say 30-year-old Daniel Stevens was charged after it was reported that a man was driving recklessly, resulting in him hitting a mailbox on Lower Mountain Road in Cambria.

Stevens, who is from Niagara Falls, was reportedly off-duty at the time of the accident.

In addition to the suspension, investigators say this case is under departmental review.

Stevens is expected to appear in Town of Cambria Court on October 5th.
