NORTH TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW-TV) — It doesn't look scary on the outside, but with a name like "Ghostlight Theatre" you might expect a spirit or two on the inside.
Theatre owner Don Swartz bought the old church two decades ago and transformed it into a theatre. He says "People said of course it's going to be haunted and then we moved in and it was."
Amanda Woomer is a member of the theatre. She has written about the ghost encounters she and her fellow cast members have had. "It's mostly a feeling for me. I'll feel a tug on my costume and then I turn around and no one is there."
Amanda's book is called "Ghosts of the Ghostlight Theatre" and is available at her website. The proceeds will go to the Gaslight Theatre.
Gaslight Theatre is at 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda, NY 14120
