BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — What's so great about manufacturing? You're about to find out, thanks to students and teachers in Western New York.
It's all part of a video contest hosted by the Northland Workforce Training Center.
Each team of students and teachers had four months to create a short video detailing career opportunities with a partner company. The video poses the question, "what's so cool about manufacturing?"
The entries will be judged by a panel and voted upon by the public.
The winners of the contest will be recognized at an awards ceremony by industry, education leaders and elected officials. Voting takes place Monday, April 8th through Wednesday, April 10th.
You can watch the videos, find out more about the contest and how to vote on the Northland Workforce Training Center's website.
The Northland Workforce Training Center is dedicated to bridging the manufacturing skills gap by helping to create economic training, co-ops, internships, apprenticeships, and permanent employment to Western New Yorkers.
