BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — If you didn't get a chance to see the tall ships anchored along Buffalo's waterfront over the holiday weekend, you still have a shot.
Seven of the ships will set sail for Cleveland, their next destination, Monday morning around 9 a.m. But four of the ships will be here for a bit longer.
"Brig Niagara" leaves Monday night. "Pride of Baltimore" leaves Tuesday. "Picton Castle will be here until Wednesday.
The "Santa Maria" will remain docked at the Erie Basin Marina until Sunday July 14. The crew is hosting tours for the remainder of the week for a fee. If you already have a tall ships ticket, you can use it as a discount.
Organizers of the Basil Port of Call: Buffalo event said about 125,000 people came down to see the ships.
The ships will be back. Plans are in place for them to return in 2022 and again in 2025.
