ARKWRIGHT, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State Police say an Arkwright man is facing several charges after allegedly driving with a BAC almost three times the legal limit.
According to NYSP, 68-year-old Bruce Gustafson was arrested for driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and other vehicle and traffic violations.
Troopers say a vehicle was observed driving erratically while traveling southbound on Center Road in the Town of Sheridan. A complaint stated the vehicle left the roadway several times, ran stop signs and nearly caused several accidents.
The vehicle was then located by NYSP in a grassy area near Center Road and NY-83.
Troopers say Gustafson appeared to have slurred speech, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol.
According to NYSP, Gustafson was arrested after failing multiple field sobriety tests. He was recorded with a .22-percent BAC.
Gustafson was issued traffic tickets and is expected to appear in the Town of Arkwright court in August.
