BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Police say two officers were transported to ECMC following two crashes Saturday morning.
According to police, the first crash between a patrol vehicle and two other vehicles occurred around 7:50 a.m. on the 2000 block of Elmwood Avenue.
The officer was transported to ECMC to be treated, police did not release the condition of the officer.
No word was given on the condition of the occupants of the other two vehicles.
According to police, the second crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. on the 1600 block of Bailey Avenue, a patrol vehicle collided with another vehicle.
A female officer and the driver of the other vehicle were both transported to ECMC to be treated for injuries.
No word on their conditions at this time.
Police say they are investigating if either accident was weather related.
The BPD Twitter account sent out an alert to motorists Saturday morning urging them to use caution as crews were out salting icy roadways.
Weather update: City of Buffalo plow crews have been salting mains & secondaries since last night. Motorists asked to use caution as icy spots may occur with temps in the low 20's.
