EAST AURORA, NY (WKBW-TV) — The Bank was really a bank for about a century, but now the stately building on Main Street in East Aurora is a new event center and boutique hotel.

Todd Stine and his wife took on the two year project and opened officially about five weeks ago. Todd says "We wanted to put the elegance back and we wanted to make it fun."

Many of the original bank fixtures remain, like the old radiators (just for looks not functional) and there are refurbished antiques in the bedrooms.

The rooms are named for notorious gangsters like John Dillinger And Frank "Jelly" Nash. Three vault doors remain in the building and there is an all new art-deco bar.

The Bank is at 649 Main Street in East Aurora. You can find more info at their website.
