CLARENCE, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Office says one person is dead following a four-car crash in Clarence Tuesday.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Main Street and Goodrich Road around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the sheriff's office a vehicle traveling west on Main Street struck the front of a vehicle waiting to turn north on to Goodrich Road.
The driver of the vehicle waiting to turn north on to Goodrich Road, Jeanette Helms of Clarence, was killed.
The vehicle traveling west on Main Street continued on and struck two other vehicles. The driver of the westbound vehicle was transported to ECMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and the drivers of the other vehicles were cleared by EMS at the scene.
The sheriff's office say the crash unit is continuing to investigate the crash, a portion of Main Street was closed for about seven hours Tuesday due to the crash.
