WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — One person is dead and three others were transported to ECMC following a crash on Southwestern Boulevard Saturday morning according to West Seneca Police.

Police say the crash occurred around 8 a.m. Saturday in the area of 1620 Southwestern Boulevard near the Southtowns YMCA, one person was pronounced dead at the scene and three others were transported to ECMC.

The West Seneca Police say 18-year-old Edward J. Travis IV was driving eastbound on Southwestern with one other person in the car. Police believe the Chevrolet Impala he was driving drifted into the westbound lane. That's when the car, driven by Travis, struck a Jeep Compass. Travis was thrown from the car. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The passenger in Travis' car was taken to ECMC and underwent emergency surgery. She is currently in "stable condition" in the intensive care unit.

The two people in the Jeep Compass were treated and released from ECMC.

No charges were filed. The accident remains under investigation.

Funeral arrangements have been set for Tuesday from 3pm-8pm at the Pietszak Funeral home in Cheektowaga. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30am at Saint Teresa's Parish in Buffalo.
