AMHERST, N.Y. — Fire officials in Amherst are looking into what caused a fire on Joe McCarthy Drive late Tuesday night.
Officials say crews from the Ellicott Creek Fire Company responded to a report of a fire on the first floor of a multi-family home just after 9:30.
One person was taken to the hospital, and everyone else got out safely.
The damage is estimated at $125,000.
