BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Investigators from the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office now say the weather is a contributing factor in a crash involving a tractor trailer that claimed the life of 38-year old Renee Morris.
The crash happened Tuesday on Route 39 at East Lake Road in the Town of Castile.
Authorities say a car collided with a tractor trailer. Morris died at the scene of the crash. Her two children were in the backseat of the car. A 10 year old was treated and released from to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. An 11 year old was taken by Perry Ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for head trauma and is still a patient there.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
Dense fog appears to be a factor in the crash.
