CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Pyramid Management Group, the owner of the Walden Galleria, has filed lawsuits against two tenants of the shopping center over unpaid rent.

In lawsuits filed Friday, against Victoria's Secret and against Bath & Body Works, Pyramid contends the tenants stopped paying rent on April 1, 2020.

In early July of 2020 Pyramid sent the two tenants a notice regarding the past due rent, on or about July 21 the tenants made a partial payment that did not cover all that was past due according to the lawsuits.

On July 31, the lawsuits state Pyramid sent a final notice of default to the two tenants and stated if the past due rent was not paid in 10 days Pyramid would take legal action. The lawsuit alleges Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works did not pay the past due rent within 10 days.

As of August, 2020 Victoria's Secret owed $237,486.25 in past due rent and Bath & Body Works owed $123,546.43 in past due rent, according to the lawsuits.

Two other lawsuits were filed by Pyramid in regards to the two tenants alleging unpaid rents for two other storefronts in the Walden Galleria, one against Victoria's Secret "Pink" location and a second Bath & Body Works location.

WKBW has reached out to Pyramid for comment, we are waiting to hear back.
