LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — Schools are conducting academic classes online and for Lewiston Porter Primary Education Center, that includes PE.

Cindy Sanoian is the physical education teacher at Lewiston Porter Primary Education Center and says she's been posting physical activities for her students everyday.

"We all know that our heart is the most important muscle and we need to exercise that to be strong and healthy," Sanoian said.

And now, she is challenging her students to create their very own obstacle courses.

"We got such an overwhelming response," Sanoian said.

The obstacle courses her students made include things like hopscotch, ladders, grapevines and sprints.

"We had some filming in their barns with their animals. Some had hockey, basketball. Some went all around their house," Sanoian adds.

And now, she is challenging the rest of Western New York to join the challenge, too.

"Right now more than ever I think it's so important to get out and get active," Sonoian said. "Not only is it good for the body, but it's good for the mind."

Sanoian says making a course is easy.

All you need is a yard, some chalk, and a little imagination.
