CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Police are asking the public for help in tracking down a robbery suspect, who investigators say, accosted an elderly man after he wasn't satisfied with the spare change he was offered.
According to a Facebook post from Cheektowaga Police, the man seen in the picture above was panhandling for money outside of a retail store. A 93-year-old man stopped to offer the man some spare change but the suspect was not satisfied with the amount, according to police.
The suspect then allegedly "rummaged" through the elderly man's pockets before being pursued to his car by the suspect. Police say the victim had to lock his car doors to prevent the suspect from getting into his car.
If you know this man, please call Detective Griffin at 716-686-3979.
