BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man is charged with murder after police say he shot and killed his wife.
The shooting happened Sunday morning on Stanton Street. Emergency responders say they were told by the man that he had shot his wife. Authorities then found the victim in the bedroom.
The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Melissa Kazmierczak. Her husband, 46-year-old Allen Kazmierczak, has been charged with Murder in the Second Degree.
A neighbor, Dwighit Jones tells us it was around 10:00 a.m. Kazmierczak showed up as his doorstep asking if Jones would call 911 because Kazmierczak's wife was "dead inside the home."
Kazmierczak was taken into custody. He's being held at the Erie County Holding Center with no bail. He is due back in court later this week for a felony hearing.
