LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — A popular Lewiston BBQ restaurant and brewery is back in business a few months after a devastating fire. Brickyard Pub & BBQ on Center Street is open for curbside pickup, and hopes to reopen to diners by the end of next week.

General Manager Steve Matthews said many familiar faces are ordering food.

“You forget about your regulars, and how much they mean to you, and the people who would come in daily and be part of your everyday life,” Matthews said.

Co-owner Ken Bryan said the community has been very supportive throughout the rebuilding process.

“Brickyard is brickyard, it’s a staple in Lewiston, and we love to support them," said Tara Darnell, a weekly customer.

Bryan said locals stop by everyday to check on the progress, and cheer and clap for the employees. He said many local businesses have stepped in to raise money for employees who were out of work.

Support has been pouring in for the beer too. The brewery side took most of the damage, Bryan thinks more than half of it was lost.

Bryan said when Brickyard fully reopens customers will notice renovations. The bar was moved to the other wall of the restaurant and extended to the patio bar. He said the kitchen was remodeled too.

There's no date yet for when the brewery section will reopen.
