BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The American Red Cross is asking for your help in donating blood, due to a critical shortage of type 'O' blood.
The Red Cross says this shortage is the result of winter weather threatening to cancel blood drives, and the rise of the flu preventing people from giving blood.
As of Monday, the Red Cross has a less than three-day supply of type O blood for patient emergencies and medical treatments.
The Red Cross is holding blood drives all throughout Western New York at the following locations:
