BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — There's a new boat on Hoyt lake for you to take out for a ride. It's pink and has a beak... a Floatmingo rowboat is the newest addition to the lake.
You can rent the boat for $15 for 30 minutes. There is a rental hut right in front of the Terrace Restaurant run by the Buffalo Maritime Center. Boat rentals are open from 12pm- 8pm, last boat rental at 7:30pm open seven days a week.
The Flamingo is the unofficial mascot of Olmsted and coined the name FLOmingo for Frederick Law Olmsted. June 21st is FLOmingo Day in the Olmsted Family and to celebrate the park added a new friend to the rowboats you can rent.
