BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Rock Autism Multimedia Vocational Program has graduated its first class of software engineers. The program, which stemmed from the Rock Autism musical festival, is designed to teach those youth the basic fundamentals of music and film production.
We teach them garage band and iMovie," President and Founder Rock Autism Max Muscato said. "In Garage Band we teach them basic fundamentals of recording, mixing, mastering, panning."
Rock Autism ups the chances of a child with autism later becoming a producer, sound enginee, or camera man.
“That’s our overall goal,” Muscato said. "Our other overall goal is to give parents hope that there is longevity with stuff like this and they can be sustaining in the future."
This year round program is open to students in their early teens to late twenties and each is session is about four to five week long. For more information click here.
