CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Santa Claus is coming to the Walden Galleria starting on Black Friday, but you won't be allowed to sit on his lap.

While visiting Santa Claus you'll need to follow these guidelines

  • Face coverings are required for all Guests ages two and up (or by Local Mandate).
  • You will experience physical distancing practices at the set, including maintaining social distance in queues and physical barriers where space doesn't allow for 6 feet of separation.
  • Advanced Reservations are strongly encouraged to promote social distancing and contact-less payments.
  • Operation modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and no special events outside of normal business hours.
  • An increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand sanitizer in high traffic areas.
  • It is our top priority to ensure the health and well-being of our guests & Santa, therefore, this year guests will not sit on Santa’s lap during their interaction, but will still have the opportunity to engage in conversation and a magical experience with Santa, while maintaining physical distance.

The mall says reservations are strongly encouraged with walk-up visits available as space allows throughout the day.

“It’s important to keep as much of the beloved holiday tradition alive, now, more than ever,” said Alex Corbelli, Marketing Director for Walden Galleria. “We could all use a dose of Santa’s merry disposition, but we also have to provide this experience safely. We’ve been strategizing with Cherry Hill to accomplish that goal.”
