BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Friends and family of a young mother who was shot and killed last weekend are calling for an end to violence.

A vigil was held for Rayshionna Johnson near the place where she was shot during a street party on Saturday morning.

The 23-year-old Johnson was a mother to two-year-old twins and a one-year-old girl. She is the latest victim in a series of deadly shootings in the city of Buffalo in recent months.

"Nobody has seemed to be able to give rhyme or reason why we keep losing our young people to this senseless murder that is happening in our city streets", said Pastor James Giles of Buffalo Peacemakers.

Buffalo Police are still looking for the person responsible for the shooting. If you have any information, call the confidential tipline at 847-2255.
