BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — "You definitely go check out your library," Maddy Smith said.

"It's not your grandfather's library," said Mary Jean Jakubowski, the director of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System.

Imagine a place that has every single piece of entertainment you could want and more.

"We always call ourselves the best kept secret,"

That's your local library, and one Buffalo woman just took a trip to the downtown library, sharing her experience on Instagram. That's when Clarence High School grad and comedian Maddy Smith jumped in on Twitter saying, "Someone I follow on Instagram thinks she discovered the library."

"I saw a screen shot on Instagram of someone raving about the library and to me it was very comedic and satirical looking and it looked like parody," Smith said.

The tweet blew up.

"And that's when it kind of exploded into 200,000," Smith said.

It got more than 20,000 retweets and 20,000 likes. Hollywood celeb Chrissy Teigen even had something to say. She had the best experience visiting the library for the first time in 23 years.

"People are like why are you shaming her for discovering a library? But I'm like why are we discovering libraries at literally age 27? Like come on," said Smith.

When you come to the library you generally think you're coming for books, but the downtown library has a lot more to offer.

"We have three-D printing. We have virtual reality glasses. We have childrens' programs, teen programing," said

Not to mention, they even have two recoding studios and more than 100 computers.

"The list goes on and on. It's all free!" said.
