BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The official start of spring is just days away, and that means wedding season is just around the corner.

Kristen Debadts of the Buffalo Wedding Magazine is breaking down what's trending.

"People want to see 'Pinterest perfect' weddings," Debadts said. "They want everything to be 'instagrammable' from the venue, to the centerpieces, to the little details."

It turns out people are actually cutting down their numbers by spending more money on decor.

"Different types of bouquets like succulents are becoming more popular," Debadts said. "Clay flower boutonnieres made out of pinwheels are also trending, instead of the regular floral ones."

Debadts says, make sure you know what you're getting.

"What I always recommend is to talk to your florist about what you are looking for, and they can tell you what's in season at that time," Debadts said.

You don't need to go far to have a great spring wedding either.

"It's not just a bachelorette party anymore," Debadts said. "It doesn't mean you have to go to Las Vegas, or Nashville, or Atlantic City. You can go to local spots like Niagara Falls, or the Finger Lakes, which happens to be one of the most popular destinations right now. They're not just doing a wine tour for the day, they're going for a full weekend."
