The team held a moment of silence for Luca Calanni. The 11-year-old died Saturday due to complications from the flu. He is the second child to die from the flu in New York State so far this year.
Calanni was an avid sports fan. He attended the St. Francis basketball camp in the summer of 2019, according to the school.
You can honor him by contributing to the Luca S. Calanni Foundation. Some people are also lighting their porches orange in his memory.
