IRVING, N.Y. (WKBW) — High winds and rains have caused severe damage to some parts of Western New York.
For a period of time Thursday, Route 5 in Irving on the Seneca Nation was shut down as the road was flooded out. The water receded around 6:00 p.m.
Further down on Route 438 in Irving trees and power lines were down in front of some homes.
Heavy rains were intermittent through out the evening.
Crews were able to clear debris in front of some homes on Route 438, but many trees and branches cover the front lawns of some homes.
