BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo SWAT and CMT responded to a call for an individual who barricaded himself inside his apartment on the 1400 block of Jefferson Avenue Friday morning.

Police say the call came in around 7:30 a.m. and 24-year-old Charles Jones surrendered without incident just before 10:30 a.m. and is now in police custody.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says Jones is being charged with murder in connection with the death of Jacquette Lee who was found in her home on Main Street in July.

Buffalo police say when Jones was taken into custody Friday morning following the standoff a deceased female body was found in the Jefferson Avenue apartment, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
